Interdisciplinary Experiential Learning
Kean University is partnering with the New York Jets as the NFL team's official education partner to create new academic and career opportunities for students. This collaboration includes a Jets-focused course and offers students and alumni internships and job opportunities with the franchise. In the course, I teach non-design majors the design thinking process and work with interdisciplinary teams to translate marketing and business strategies into design solutions. I also collaborate with graphic designers to develop project concepts and client presentations.
OBJECTIVE
Dr. David Birdsell, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, selected faculty to design and develop a cross-disciplinary course with graphic design/advertising, marketing + management, and communication students.
